The Country Schoolhouse Library System

This year, we are excited to announce the opening of The Country Schoolhouse Library! Our new library will give students and parents the opportunity to check out books from our very own little library. We have established set times for students to check out books and return them using our library system protocols. Every Friday from 11:00AM - 1:00PM, we will open our library to registered students with The Country Schoolhouse. Students will have the opportunity to read, check out, and enjoy the books we have available. When students check out our books, they will be given 3 weeks to read and use our books. After three weeks, students will be asked to return the books. Forget to return the books? No worries! Students will be given three reminders to return the books over the following three weeks. If the students do not return the books after their late book reminder (2 weeks past due), parents will be charged the price of the book to the credit card they have on file

Library FAQs

  • Does the Country Schoolhouse have a designated librarian?

    Yes! Our very own Abigail Smith is out school librarian. She can help you check out books and return books during our library hours every Friday from 11:00AM - 1:00PM. 

  • How many books can we borrow at one time?

    Students can check out two books at one time

  • Will we get charged a late fee as soon as the due date has passed?

    No, students/parents will only be charged after receiving a notification and still not returning the book - 2 weeks past due.

  • Will students be charged when the book is returned damaged?

    Maybe. If the book is returned with minor cosmetic damage that does not prohibit future readers from finishing the book, the student will not be charged. If the student returns the damaged book and future readers will have difficulty completing the book, then the student/parent will be charged the amount of the book to the credit card on file. Parents will be given a notification about the damage and the charge.

  • How do we return our books?

    You can return your books during the designated library hours every Friday from 11:00AM - 1:00PM or you are welcome to return our library books at the book drop off box located in the front of our building (Not The Little Free Library).
